A 2 day Musical Cultural programme SANGEET KE SITAAREY, was organised by the IT Family – (Computer User’s Club – IT for Charity), on 18th & 19th to celebrate the spirit of the Annual Saptha Festival in Vasco. The Programme on the first day offered opportunity to participants to exhibit their talents on stage. On the second day, to the accompaniment of a LIVE scintillating orchestra, played by expert artistes in the field of music, emerging and professional talent received a grand response from the audience. Smt. Bhavna Nanoskar, the newly elected women Chairperson of Mormugao Municipality Council addressed the gathering and expressed satisfaction on the endeavour promoted by the IT Family to support talent. Cdr. Narayanan of Vasco Watch enlightened the audience with a report on the IT FAMILY”s activities that, apart from social activities, have been promoting the concept of Digital India since it’s inception in 2001. Mr S Fernandes, President spoke about the admirable charitable work done by the club and outlined it’s social objective to make a difference to the society and exhorted local Goan artistes, who were offered the platform, to exhibit talent and take benefit of the several schemes offered by the Govt to promote Art and Culture. He also conveyed a message to the audience that such programs blended with music and festivals binds people together of all castes, creed, religion, state, country and gender, irrespective of status. The performances by artistes on both the days received a very good response and has paved the way for more attractive cultural activities to bring around healthy and holistic development of an individual and the society too. The Secretary, Mr. Amey Kumbhar, demonstrated to the audience the skill of digital recording of the event using a laptop and special softwares and letting it go viral on social media for a worldwide reach of their talent.
